Welcome

I’m a cello performer who has given concerts throughout the United States and abroad as soloist and chamber musician, and who has performed numerous cello concertos as soloist with orchestra. I have a vast repertoire, and am available to perform in a variety of venues and for different types of audiences. I also love to teach, and I maintain studios in the Sarasota-Venice area of Florida and the Adirondacks of Northern New York State.

Sarasota Artist Series Jan. 21, 2016 at Michael's on East in Sarasota.

The concert starts at 11 am and is followed by lunch.  Joyce Valentine and I will be playing works for cello and piano including Couperin's Pieces en Concert, Chopin's Cello Sonata and Piazzolla's exhilarating Grand Tango.   About Joyce Valentine's Carnegie Recital Hall debut, the  New York Times states  “…an impressive debut…the Ginastera was brisk, centered, propulsive and altogether thrilling, capped with a slam-bang finale that brought the house down.”

Chamber Accord “A Celebration of French Music”

This varied program of music from the Baroque Era to the 20th Century will present our four musicians in different combinations. Pianist Gabrielius Alekna will perform solo works by Debussy including Clair de Lune and L’Isle Joyeuse.   Violinist Sean O’Neil will be featured in St. Saens’ dazzling Introduction and Rondo for violin and piano.  Sean O’Neil, Shawn Snider, and I will play some charming character pieces by Couperin that Bob Delfausse arranged for string trio.   The concert will open with  Delibe’s delightful “Flower Duet” from Lakme (also arranged by Bob Delfausse) and will culminate with Faure’s Piano Quartet No.1.  This monumental work was written during the end of a tempestuous relationship between Marianne Viardot (daughter of the singer Pauline Viardot) and Faure.
